The Sign Network has been building and installing billboards for 15 years with conclusive and measurable results for everyone from the Biomedical industry to the Home & Commercial Builders and Developers community. Our work has always been unsurpassed and with highly favourable acclaim by clients, colleagues, and end users.
Additional to the fabrication and installation of various sized billboards, the talented team at The Sign Network can also provide you with design and display marketing strategies. As long as you’re purchasing the final signs directly from us, your design costs on billboards and other displays—along with any marketing strategies—will be significantly less than any agency and design house. Quite often, if the billboard design is respectively undersized, your design and marketing work will be at no cost.

Substrates — Inasmuch as there are several choices for substrates in the sign industry, the three most recommended are:
1. MDO (Medium Density Overlay) — This is the most commonly used substrate and is a marine-grade plywood manufactured to withstand the harshest climates. Our MDO is 0.5" (12.5mm) in thickness
2. 10mm Corrugated Plastic — This is becoming a more and more popular choice as there is a savings not only in substrate costs but installation as well as the plastic sheets are far lighter and therefore easier to handle. The only slight drawback may be the visibility of the “flutes” in the plastic. With that said, be sure to ask for a sample of this product from one of our sales representatives as it is lower in cost, equally endurable as MDO, and the “flutes” are hardly visible when only a few feet away from the billboard.
3. Aluminum-Veneered Products —These substrates are unquestionably your highest quality. They consist of an oily, ultra-compressed plastic sandwiched between two aluminum veneers; thicknesses range but commonly used is 0.125" (3mm). Since these substrates are more costly, we do not recommend their use unless the required billboard is expected to stay outdoors for many years.

Engineered Drawing — The Sign Network can provide for you an engineer-stamped structural / load drawing for any possibly needed insurance and permit requirements
Permits — Given that we are continually dealing with nearly every municipality in southern Ontario regarding signage by-laws, The Sign Network will give you peace of mind that all required permits, locates, and other governmental and insurance requirements are fully attended to.
